When ı went to school in 2000, it was the first meeting with English. Maybe you cannot believe but it is unfortunately true. Grammer has been taught to us; however, we could not practice some ability about English learning which include listening, reading, writing and speaking since education system was not beneficial for us. Consequently, it is the reason why ı am here.
I was very worried about the first day of this university as ı was in elementary which is the first module. How can ı pass? even if ı fail, what am ı doing? and unfortunately ı failed in intermediate and ı have to study half-term. anyway...
I want to say what ı liked and did not like. First of all, ı did not like to do vocabulary journal as it was not beneficial for learning English. I think that it is waste of time. I could not remember anything in these journals. Why did we do?. Since, we should have good grades to pass others module. In addition to that, our knowledge about English could not develop with some project such as oral presentation, video project and so on because generally, students memorize what they will say; as a result, this learning methods are not working. Furthermore, ı am not professional person for criticizing to teacher but ı and some students believe that some teachers should not be the main instructor. Secondly, ı liked to do some homework which is very beneficial for us like reading homework. Next, ı like some teachers who are interested a lot with students.
Nevertheless, ı learned a lot of things and ı could develop myself a lot. In the past, ı could not write very well but now ı can write essay.
Finally, if ı had have power to change something in the past, ı would have studied to pass in intermediate.

YanıtlaSilI think that it is fair to say that we all like different things about each course that we do. SOmetimes it is the teacher and sometimes not, sometimes we see the point to doing some exercises and sometimes not. Important for the reflection is trying to understand why those people made a difference or not, why certain activities work or not. You mentioned the vocab. journals, if they did not work for you , why not? Did you write a lot of sentences regarding the different words. Often we need to be exposed to words three or four times before we can remember them and even more times before we can use them in our writing and speaking. Without question you have come a long way from the start of your English learning all the back in 2000 and now you must plan your future path to continue with this success for the next four to five years when your level must also continue to rise.
